What can I expect the day of my Inverted Nipple Repair?

If the inverted nipple repair is performed alone, it will likely be done in the procedure room. You will be given medication to make you comfortable, and a numbing cream will be applied to alleviate or minimize the pain from local anesthetic injections. Once you are completely numb, Dr. Karaaltın will perform the procedure. The procedure typically takes between 30 minutes and one hour. Afterwards, you will have a bulky dressing applied to keep the nipples in the correct position and protect the repair. This dressing will be removed 5 - 7 days post-operatively.
