How is the K Face Lift different from a standard facelift?
A standard SMAS facelift usually lifts the deep layer as one unit in one direction. The K Face Lift divides it into two independent flaps: the upper flap is lifted vertically to restore the cheek and midface, the lower flap is advanced to define the jawline and neck. This dual-vector rotation–advancement aims for a three-dimensional, natural result rather than a pulled look.
Before dissection, fixed anatomical landmarks are mapped to identify the danger zones of the facial nerve branches, so the deep release is done in safe planes.
What is the biodegradable support for?
A biodegradable PCL-based support manufactured by Bloocell® is placed to reinforce the lifted SMAS. It gives structural support while tissues heal and is gradually resorbed as the body forms its own collagen.
Who is a good candidate?
Men and women with cheek descent, jowls and neck laxity who want a natural, long-lasting result; patients who prefer one operation for face and neck; non-smokers in good general health with realistic expectations.
What is recovery like?
Recovery is generally quick because dissection follows mapped landmarks. Swelling subsides progressively over the first weeks, and the result continues to refine over several months as the support assists collagen regeneration. International patients typically stay about 7 days in Istanbul, with WhatsApp and video follow-up afterwards.
Where are the scars?
Incisions follow the natural contours in front of and behind the ear and into the hairline, where they usually fade to fine lines.
Frequently asked questions
Who invented the K Face Lift?
The K Face Lift was developed by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Veli Karaaltın, a triple board-certified plastic surgeon in Istanbul, Turkey.
Is the K Face Lift a deep plane facelift?
It combines high-SMAS and deep-plane principles. Its distinctive feature is two independent SMAS flaps lifted on different vectors, plus integrated neck treatment and biodegradable internal support.
How long do I need to stay in Istanbul?
Most international patients stay about 7 days: arrival and tests, surgery, daily checks, then a final evaluation before flying home.
How much does the K Face Lift cost?
The fee depends on the plan (face, neck, eyelids, fat grafting). Prof. Dr. Karaaltın gives a personal quote after a free video consultation via WhatsApp +90 546 553 32 85.
