Dr. KARAALTIN, the father of twin children and husband of a successful wife (Vice Dean of Cerrahpasa University Faculty of Medicine), was born in 1972 in Kirkuk, Iraq as a Turkish descendant. His family moved to the United States of America when he was only six months old.
Between 1976 and 1988, Dr. Karaaltin completed his primary and secondary education in both West Lafayette, Indiana and Orange County, Los Angeles. In 1995, he graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine.
He completed his Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery residency in 2001. After his mandatory military service, he became an Assistant Professor in 2003 and an Associate Professor in 2009.
Educator & Leader
Prof. Dr. Karaaltin became a full Professor in 2015 and served as the Head of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa from 2015 to 2021. He has trained numerous surgeons and continues to share his expertise through international lectures and workshops.
