1. Patient privacy
All patient information held by Dr. Karaaltın Clinic — medical records, photographs, correspondence and consultation notes — is confidential. We process personal data only for the purposes of care, follow-up, and legitimate clinic administration, in line with Turkish data-protection law (KVKK) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.
2. Clinical photography & before/after imagery
Clinical photographs are taken only with the patient’s written, informed consent. Patients may consent to internal documentation only, or additionally agree to use of fully de-identified images for educational, scientific or marketing purposes. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Identifying features are blurred or cropped before any external publication.
3. Cadaveric education & donor consent
Cadaveric specimens used in surgical training courses attended or led by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Veli Karaaltın are provided exclusively through accredited body-donation programmes of the host institutions. Donors (or their legal representatives) gave informed, written consent for their bodies to be used in surgical education and scientific advancement, in accordance with Turkish law and international ethical standards for anatomical donation. We do not name, identify or visually depict any donor.
4. Imagery from cadaver labs and operating rooms
Photographs taken inside a cadaver laboratory or operating room appear on this website only when:
- The host institution and course organisers have authorised photography for educational documentation.
- Surgical fields, wounds, specimens and unclothed anatomy are blurred or cropped before publication.
- Faces of attending colleagues and residents are not shown without their explicit permission.
- No patient- or donor-identifying information is included.
This is why, for example, photographs from the 2026 Yüz ve Rinoplasti Kadavra Kursu (TPRECD) on this site have their lower portion intentionally blurred.
5. Editorial standards
We share educational content to advance understanding of modern facial, breast, body and rhinoplasty surgery — never for shock value or sensationalism. Our editorial review follows the ethical principles of the World Medical Association (Declaration of Helsinki) and the publication standards used by major plastic surgery journals.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. If you believe an image or piece of content on this site identifies you and you have not given consent, please contact us and we will review and remove it promptly.
