A missile hit the home of a Gazan child, but he recovered in Turkey.

6 Weeks Later, He Will Run, Play, and Smile Freely Plastic Surgeon Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Veli Karaaltın from Acıbadem Atakent Hospital, ENT specialist İsmet Emrah Emre, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Berfin Karataş stated that the young boy from Gaza was in very poor condition when he arrived, and his face was like puzzle pieces separated from each other.

Assc. Prof. Dr. Karaaltın said, "After a 6-hour operation and a challenging surgery, we managed to bring Abdulmuti back. He is a very patient child for his age. He understands that he is in the recovery process, shows resilience, and doesn’t ask many questions. A device has been attached to allow the bones in his face to heal. He will have no problems with seeing, tasting, or breathing. There might be a slight reduction in his sense of smell, but hopefully, in a short time, he will be able to smile, run, play, and chase after a ball as he wishes."

4 More Injured From His Family

Isa Al-Asmar, President of the Palestinian White Hands Association, who also attended the press conference and worked on bringing the Gazan boy to Istanbul, said that their association's mission is to assist patients. He mentioned that they had brought 15 patients, including Abdulmuti, to Turkey and expressed his gratitude to the hospital that treated the wounded, the surgical team, the hospital management, and Dr. Karaaltın.

Al-Asmar said, "A missile struck the place where Abdulmuti was. Four other members of his family were also injured. I thank Turkey for embracing us and helping heal the wounds of Gaza and Palestine." Abdulmuti, who also attended the press conference, was seen to be in good condition.
